Meeting Summary

🎨 Visual Design & Color Refinements

James shared the updated hero section featuring the animated graphic with a gold center light, which both Diane and Barbara responded positively to (07:58). The key refinement was shifting from straight orange toward a warmer golden orange, which better matches the logo and reads more cohesively across the palette. The gold-centered animation was preferred over the white-center version, with enough contrast maintained for the dot/activation elements to remain visible against the background.

Additional visual tweaks discussed for the hero:

  • Lower the "Source of Synergy" text slightly so it doesn't overlap the graphic (27:18)
  • Increase the tagline font size ("Together more than we could alone") so it pops with appropriate emphasis
  • Add shading to the title text for better legibility

📄 Content Structure & Section Layout

Diane walked through the updated page order, which has been substantially reorganized from previous reviews. The section flow as agreed (03:46):

  1. Hero — animated graphic with golden light
  2. Video section — a new video defining "source" and "synergy" and inspiring action (in production, ~1 week out)
  3. Mission statement — placed after the video, with the background hand image removed due to low visibility
  4. Sourcing Synergy: How We Do It — project grid section
  5. Our Moment of Choice — video + link to the book page at ourmomentofchoice.com
  6. Take Action / Become a Source of Synergy — calls to action
  7. Why Synergy Matters Now and What is Synergy? — pulled toward the bottom
  8. Partner logos — with "Building a World That Works for All" on one line beneath

For the mission statement section, the faded hand-holding-golden-light background image wasn't legible enough for either Barbara or Diane, so it's being replaced. The phrase "Synergy starts with connection" was agreed upon as a design element to anchor this section visually (12:25). The team also noted that since the incoming video covers much of this content, final text decisions should wait until the video edit is complete to avoid duplication (14:38).

📊 Project Grid — "Sourcing Synergy" Section

The project cards section was refined with the following direction (15:15):

  • 3 cards per row, 3 rows — uniform grid (3x3 total)
  • All orange accent boxes aligned to the same height and vertical level
  • Remove the single horizontal rule under the "How We Source Synergy" heading — it doesn't make sense as a lone line
  • "Sourcing Synergy: How We Do It" headline on one line, bolded
  • Bold all section headlines consistently throughout the page
  • "Learn more about Source of Synergy activities and projects" text enlarged and set in blue, with a blue background for visibility

New images for Health and Wellness and Global Oneness projects are in Google Drive. The "Our Moment of Choice" card is being replaced with "Global Oneness Day" using the globe image already in the Drive (19:40). The Evolutionary Partners Network card needs the image contained so the letters aren't cropped (21:14).

🗂️ Workflow & Communication

James flagged a friction point around scattered assets — he can't monitor Google Drive for newly added images between sessions (18:26). Going forward, all feedback, notes, and new assets should be consolidated into a single shared Google Doc so nothing gets missed. James is working through the existing 17-page notes document and crossing items off as they're completed.

⚠️ Content Sensitivity — Public Figure Removal

Diane noted that recent external events require removing a previously affiliated public figure (Deepak Chopra) from the site (01:33). This affects the team page, founding history, and potentially the Call to Conscious Evolution section. The team is approaching this carefully to avoid appearing reactionary while still responding appropriately. Diane and Barbara will advise James on exactly what to remove once they've determined the scope.

🔗 Remaining Items

  • Social media icons in the footer are placeholders and will be linked to Source of Synergy's accounts (not IRIS) (26:13)
  • Navigation menu items need alignment so they sit on the same line (26:45)
  • Concept paper (to be linked from the Global Oneness Day card) — Diane will send this to James directly (20:28)

Action Items

James Redenbaugh

  • Continue working through the 17-page notes doc, implementing agreed design changes — colors, text sizing, grid alignment, headline bolding (03:46)
  • Remove faded hand background image from mission statement section; incorporate "Synergy starts with connection" as a design element in its place (12:25)
  • Fix Evolutionary Partners Network card image cropping (21:14)
  • Replace "Our Moment of Choice" project card with "Global Oneness Day" using globe image from Drive (19:40)
  • Update footer social media links to point to Source of Synergy accounts (26:13)
  • Fix navigation menu item alignment (26:45)
  • Target: complete and publish updated site by Wednesday to coincide with the client's group call (26:47)

Diane Williams

  • Send concept paper document to James for linking on the Global Oneness Day card (20:28)
  • Advise James on which content referencing the public figure to remove (team page, founding history, Call to Conscious Evolution) (01:33)
  • Deliver finalized video to James once editing is complete so redundant text sections can be trimmed (14:38)

Barbara Layton

  • Support Diane in reviewing design and content feedback as James works through final updates (27:04)
  • Coordinate with video editor to deliver the "Source and Synergy" explainer video within approximately one week (09:01)
