Meeting Summary

🎯 Purpose Lab Media Player Demo

Adam walked through True Guide's latest technology — an "ultra smart media player" built for Purpose Lab, which currently houses 70 high-quality interviews from Zinka's content catalog (05:55). The player features several key capabilities:

  • Content discovery — users ask a question and the player surfaces relevant interview snippets from the catalog, matching content to the user's inquiry
  • Multi-language captions — designed for audiences where English is a secondary language, with toggleable caption display
  • Sharing — clips can be shared to WhatsApp communities, personal contacts, or other channels
  • Summary view — provides an overview of what's in the player
  • Call to action — a section that Purpose Lab plans to build out for deeper engagement pathways

The player is currently being piloted with other clients and Adam sees it as one of the strongest offerings in the Purpose Lab ecosystem (09:45). He emphasized that the technology is ready to scale but needs a committed content partner to build on it.

🌐 Holo Movement Homepage & Widget Discussion

Adam raised concerns about the existing video widget on the Holo Movement homepage, describing it as "ancient technology" with a limited content library (10:24). He proposed either upgrading it with the new Purpose Lab player or removing it entirely. Three areas Zinka specifically asked Adam to discuss with James:

  1. The homepage widget — upgrade or replace
  2. The Purpose Lab landing page — currently buried on a back page, could be featured more prominently
  3. The community join/onboarding flow — opportunities for personalization

Adam noted that True Guide's working relationship with Mariko has been difficult, and that the Holo Movement did not renew their contract for 2026. True Guide offered to continue supporting Purpose Lab as goodwill through the year regardless (12:00). The widget saw strong engagement during the Wave in Asheville — thousands of views and solid click data — but activity dropped off afterward.

📱 James's New Community App

James shared a beta version of the app he's building to replace The Synergist functionality (14:35). Key features demonstrated:

  • User profiles with auto-generated elements
  • Holons — group structures with expanding functionality (Purpose Lab could become a Holon)
  • A redesigned map that's more dynamic, brand-aligned, and explorable [tag="webflow"]
  • Custom assessments and matching algorithms — users fill out questionnaires, and the system recommends connections, groups, courses, and cohorts in real time (27:56)

James noted the team is beta testing internally and meeting multiple times a week on the app. The homepage will be rethought as these new tools come online, and he suggested the Purpose Lab integration would make more sense once the new Holon tools are ready — giving it proper context within the broader platform.

🔗 Urban Monk Personalization Pilot

Adam demonstrated a pilot project with Urban Monk, a client with 20,000 people in their ecosystem (20:44). The flow works as follows:

  1. Users enter the mid-funnel and complete a detailed survey/assessment
  2. The survey generates a score and identifies key concerns
  3. True Guide's API delivers a fully customized media player within ~20 seconds — personalized to that specific user's survey responses
  4. The player surfaces relevant content snippets addressing their concerns
  5. A discovery path leads to deeper engagement and conversion

[technology="Assessment Systems"]

Zinka was enthusiastic about this and asked Adam to explore whether similar personalization could work for the Holo Movement — for example, after someone fills out a profile, delivering a customized player introducing them to nearby community members or relevant Holons. Adam floated the idea of asking community members to record 12-second intro videos to fuel this kind of localized connection.

James responded that much of this intent is already being addressed through the assessment and matching system he's building — connecting people to each other, to groups, to courses, and to cohorts based on their questionnaire responses (27:56). Adam acknowledged the overlap and suggested the personalized player tech may find better traction with corporate ecosystems focused on customer-to-community conversion rather than the Holo Movement specifically (29:18).

💭 Content Production & Partnership

James shared that the Holo Movement team is working on a magazine due by end of month and courses that will need an LMS, but content production is mostly focused on promotional material for the next Wave (17:29). Adam expressed concern about the lack of content development from the massive amount of material captured at Asheville, noting that the technology is ready but needs a willing partner to invest in building out the content library.

📅 Next Steps & Connectivity

Both agreed to reconnect in approximately one month. Adam will send the Purpose Lab player link to James (CC'ing Zinka), and James shared his scheduling link for booking the follow-up. The app is currently hosted at theconnectivityconference.com as a temporary test URL (32:55).

Adam also asked James to think about who else in his network might benefit from True Guide's technology, noting that they're in a pilot/beta phase where the barrier to entry is low — it's about finding good-fit partners rather than revenue at this stage (34:31).

Action Items

Adam

  • Send James the Purpose Lab player link, CC Zinka (30:32)
  • Schedule follow-up meeting in ~1 month using James's scheduling link (30:32)

James

  • Ambassador the Purpose Lab homepage integration idea to the Holo Movement team during regular app meetings (19:45)
  • Continue beta development of the community app and keep Adam updated on progress (30:00)
  • Think about potential contacts in his network who could benefit from True Guide's personalization technology (34:43)
